When was your KNX system last inspected?
Do YOU have possession of all current data/documents for maintenance or repair?
Your specialist electrical company provides you with reliable support?! What if you want to change contractors or the programmer is no longer available? Do you have in-house access to the current data? Are they willing to hand over the current data?
90% of all KNX system owners do not ask themselves these questions that often result in disaster.
A major building with a technically sophisticated smart home installation is built. After completion, the documentation including data carriers is handed over by the building owner.
Over the years, the system has been expanded, visualisation has been added, or new components have been installed. Everything works without problems, you as the customer are satisfied.
But what about the documentation? Has the changed data been incorporated into your documentation?
If your documentation is not constantly adapted to the changes in your building system, there will be a huge issue as soon as the programmer is no longer available, as your smart home cannot be programmed by another professional without the up-to-date records.
